Roles and Permissions: Who Can Do What
Executive Overview
How the role-based permission system works and how to grant a role access to a module.
How permissions work
Every module in the sidebar is backed by permissions named slug-read, slug-write, slug-edit, slug-delete and slug-all. A role must hold at least one of these to see the module.
Granting access
- Go to Manage Role and open the permissions view for the role.
- Tick the boxes for the module and the level of access.
- Users with that role see the module after the next page load.
Switching roles
Users with several roles can switch between them from the role selector in the top header — the sidebar changes to match.
