Using Rubrics and Rubric Score Sets
Executive Overview
Build reusable rubrics and attach them to activity questions for open-ended assessments.
What rubrics are for
Rubrics standardize the evaluation of open-ended work — presentations, viva, projects — by defining performance levels with scores.
Setting up a rubric
- Go to Rubric Score Set and create the set of score levels (for example 1–4).
- Create a Rubric and add its questions/criteria, choosing the score set.
- Attach the rubric to an activity question inside the course offering.
Marking with rubrics
When entering marks, select the achieved level per criterion; the system converts it to a numeric score automatically.
